I have a Cisco 1720 that connects to spare switch - spare switch connect to two MS Proxy 2.0 servers (ext nic). Internal nic connected to main switch that other servers and clients are on.

Added Sonicwall Pro 230 from main switch to LAN connection of SW. On WAN port, connected SW to spare switch.

After some default configs on SW, changed my pc settings w/no proxy. I can get out to Internet now thru SW.

Problem: How do I get clients to go FIRST thru Proxy, then thru SW? Do I connect Proxy ext nic to LAN on SW? Tested with xover cable (got green light), but traffic not going through (can't even get out from Proxy itself).

SW Tech states "...LAN side Proxy are unsupported...". Guide shows unprotected servers on the WAN side. As you see, I don't have this type of setup, so how can I resolve this immediately?

Your friend in the end.
