"erase start"
and then
"reload" will erase the current config and bring you to the "setup" when it reloads.
As far as a basic config - just Google "Cisco 871 config" and you will see links to Cisco as well as an article at Tech Republic (and tons more)- you have to register for free access to the articles - but it is FREE!
Also has lots of FAQs including a bunch for Cisco that includes configs!
