I have a Cisco 837 router and need to know what is the command(using a telnet session) to put the router back to its factory defaults?
Please help as im just about to launch it into space.
Many Thanks Casey.

Go into config mode

Issue the following commands

Write erase
reload

If it asks you to save the current configuration, don't.

When it reboots, it will be the way it came from the factory.

It is what it is!!

Hello there, if you are going to do that (erase the flash and reload) make sure that you are not remote to the router as you will not be able to telenet into it anymore. Cheers...

Don't Don't Don't do the above anyone that reads this

erasing the flash will kill your router

not for ever but until you manage to get a new image for it !!!!!!!!!

only erase startup config

erase flash should only be used by people that know what there doing

many thanks
Terry
