I am a CCNA student and I just bought 3 Cisco 801 routers on E-Bay.
The version is 12.1
My question is: Is there a possibility to make my router back-to-back on the Bri interface?

With the 801 I also receive a alpha telecom inc ut620F adapter might it help acheiving my goal?

A link for that adaptor:

Thanks for any help

You can't connect two BRI ports back-to-back. ISND just like telephone needs to establish whole circuit before it can transfer data. If you want to play around with ISDN, you will need the whole circuit simulating device with ISDN switches, not just NT1 - eg. like the Adtran Atlas 550 box. However these are not cheap and will cost around 2000$ - 4000$

Thank you for the information. I think I will now concentrate on Cisco 1601 with serial :-)
Easier to connect...

Another option can be found on ebay for isdn simulation. B-Link, and vConsole are pieces of equipment that come to mind. Go to ebay and do a search, actually here ya go...

they usually end up around $400.00 so good luck.
