I think I did a boo boo. I bought some Cisco 7960G phones, and didn't know enough to ask about the protocol. It has the Skinny Client (SCCP) and I need the Media Gateway Control (MGCP). Is there an easy way to change the protocol on these?

If you have a CCO login, you can download the MGCP image for the 7960/40 IP phones here:

I've never had to set up an MGCP IP phone (only used SCCP), although I'd guess that all you'd have to do is point the phones to the MGCP image file in the CCM Device Defaults...

I do have a CCO logon, but it gave me a list for an admin guide only.

That's what I figured I'd have to do, (with the CCM) but I was trying to get a few ideas in place before trying to install these.

Your CCO account may not have privledges to the download area then...When I click on that link, I get a prompt for my CCO login and password, and it takes me right to the download page for the MGCP phone images...

OK, that's probably it. I was thinking of that the other day. I do have a resellers certificate - but let that go a long time ago. Thanks for the heads up.
