Has anybody been able to successfully setup SNMP monitoring on a Cisco 7513's VIP modules?
The reason we are looking to collect statistics on the VIP's, is currently we are running a multitude of VIP2-50's, 4-80's, and we would like to upgrade to some VIP 6-80's. In order to get management to approve such an upgrade, we need to PROVE that the CPU/MEM utilization of the VIP's are peaked, which is difficult to prove.
The only IOS-based command that has given me such info is "show controller VIP [slot#] tech-support". This gives me much information regarding the VIP, including the past 5 minutes worth of CPU/MEM load. I need to monitor this throughout the day with our monitoring software, Concord Network Health.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
