Hello,

I'm new at cisco, but here is my issue. I have a Cisco 7206 that i'm try to put an FastEthernet port in a speed of 10mbp but the router would not allow me to. It seem like there is not command for speed 10. Here is the IOS i'm running. Any help would be great.

You should be able to set the speed and duplex of a Fast Ethernet port. Why don't you post the rest of the "show version" and we can see what kind of PA you have or what interfaces you are working with. Are you sure it's Fast Ethernet and not just Ethernet?

I see that they are indeed fast ethernet. The only thing that I can think of is first set your duplex setting to half duplex. Then try and kick the interface speed down to 10Mb. See if that works. If not I'd like to see the interface configuration if you don't mind. Do a "show run inter fa x/x" and post it please.

IPKONFIG,

Thanks for the help
I found out what is wrong. My Fast Ethernet PA card is 100 mbp only not 10/100.

Thanks
