Hi, I attempted to do a search on this but the search service seems to have been down for the last few days. I have also waded manually through the posts in this forum and am still having problems. I'm trying to access my Cisco 678 DSL modem/router through the management port. I have the proper cable (I've tried 2 different ones, both work on the routers at school) and an RJ-45 - DB9 adapter(again tested). My problem is that when I attempt to use hyperterminal to log onto the router (or any other terminal emulation prog.) All I get is "Hello! Expanding CBOS image... CBOS v2.3.5.014 - Release Software". Thats it, no matter what I do, control breaks, trying to get it into RMON mode, pressing enter repeatedly, nothing works. it just stays connected and hangs there, never giving me a prompt. I've also tried power cycling the modem, and I've tried different suggested settings in hyperterminal. The modem works fine, I'm using it right now. If anyone can help me get past this problem, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks for your time, and sorry for the long winded post.
