The 4500 Sup 6 E does not have auto QoS, it is enabled by default.
I would just like to see an example of how the Sup 6 QoS in general is configured.
This switch will be used for a DR side core switch.
There will be users at the site wuth Voice, video and applications.
We will have secondary voice servers at the site as well.
We will have a Metro E (EVPL) connection from our main site 6509 to the 4500. The 4500 will be receiving replication data from the main site across the EVPL.
I am not sure if this is what I need:
A policy for the users at the site to ensure that the user voice and data is prioritized properly. We have one user application that will need to ensure a certain amount of bandwidth.
A policy for the Voice servers at the site (possibly the same policy?) to make sure that these interfaces are prioritizing voice also.
Not sure if this is the way to go with the replication data from the 6509, but the 6509 has limited policing and shaping capabilities. I am wondering if I can create a QoS policy that would allow me to shape the data inbound on the 4500 and prioritized with a different policy here.
Does any of this sound feasable?
