The 4000 has two serial ports and two ethernet ports. E0 is connected to internal Bay 450T. I am trying to connect E1 to DSL Router (Speed Stream from SBC). Can not find where in IOS it allows to connect to PPP. Must we use a serial port to do this? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

According to the Cisco website PPPOE client isn't something that's supported on the 4000 platform. Most of the newer platforms have the feature appearing in 12.2(3) and later. This may not be the whole story since I really think I remember hearing it was supported on the 2500 series. If I were you I'd upgrade to 12.2 and seeing for yourself.
