I have a client that has a Cisco 3825 & 2 WIC-1DSU-T1 cards he bought. I cannot see the cards at all. From what I can find in the CISCO documentation, the 3825 uses the WIC-1DSU-T1-V2, however there is nothing that says the older cards (WIC-1DSU-T1) are not compatible.

Before I have him send them back, do any of you know otherwise and if there is something i have to do special on the 3825? I hate to keep this project on hold if there is another issue I should be looking at. The cards work fine in the Cisco 1605 router.

Had same problem on my 2811.......must use the (V2) T1 cards.....older cards not compatable.

Thanks, Joamon. The other end is a 2811 and I haven't even gone over there yet. I will give them a heads up. THanks again!

Do you have two T1 spans as point to point? If so have you considered bonding them together to increase bandwidth between locations?

Thanks again for the follow up. The reason I have two cards is that I have two point-to-point T1s going to two different locations. The first location is ready and the second one is going online a few weeks down the road.

If you have smartnet remember to add the T1 cards to your contracts. They are a no charge add-on. If already installed a "show diag" will reveal their serial numbers.
