Ive just installed a cisco 2950 switch into our network. Its running with the default config (eg automated setup).

Now, i have connected a compaq dl380 server with 2 NIC's. Ive setup compaq network teaming. Ive set this to load balancing on mac address (layer2) and switch assisted load balancing.

It seems to work okay, but sometimes i get timeout errors when trying to connect to the server via Terminal Services.

Just wondering if their anything to configure on the switch (etherchannel) or would the autodetect setup of the switch do this for me.

look forward to any replies.

Regards,
Vinay

If you have no redundant links on a switch I would recomment to turn off Spanning Tree at all. Because , we all know, and Cisco states, that STP introduce more problems than it solves.
