I need some brainstorming. First of all I have a 2908XL switch...anyone know the command to set VLANs, i know for the bigger switches it is just a matter of 'set vlan' but for these there is nothing, even in config t.. not sure if it is called something different on these things. Also, i have a situation concerning setting up NAT, MIPs, VIP's, etc. I have 2 ip addresses setup on a cable line, I have a firewall setup with one address, and it NATs to the private addresses inside, now i want to setup the other address to be used by a FreeBSD box, do i set up a VLAN and have the firewall route the other address out my main interface, and if so how should this logisitically be set up? SOrry for the lengthy explanation but i dont know how else to word this. Basically i want to throw this BSD box on some form of DMZ. I have a firewall, netscreen, a catalyst switch, a private LAN and a freebsd box, now what can i do? Thanks to anyone that can help.
