Hi!

I have been tasked with revamping a private network using public IP's to private IP's. The 2620 with a WIC 1DSU-T1 and built in 10/100 LAN port was set up by a previous employee, so I need to recover the passwords. We are hooked up using a frac T-1 provided by MCI. I have obtained the IP from MCI...65.x.x.x/29, with broadcast IP of 65.x.x.x1.

The current scheme is 63.x.x.x9 (router)

I am a newbie to the Cisco world, and I just need to know where to place the public and private IP's to make traffic flow.

Once I get the passwords recovered, I can get the current config info and use that as a map.

Thanks!

This link will direct you on how to recover the password. As for where the public and private ips go, the 65.x address is already configured on the WAN interface. That one should not be changing. All you'll need to do is reconfigure the 10/100 LAN interface to follow the new private IP addressing scheme of your choice.
