cisco 2600 firewall implementation

Anyone have any instructions, diy guides to adding a firewall to the cisco 2600 router if it can even be done?

It can be done. You'll have to upgrade the IOS on your c2600 to the feature set IP+/IDS/FW (provided you have enough RAM to run the new feature set).

I will have to look into this, I believe the current IOS version on the router is 12.1, I am unable to access the link, I believe we purchased the router from our ISP and of course we have no purchase number or any other info to gain access through cisco other than generic user account. I'll have to see what I can do to get access to this document and then go from there. Thanks!
