Cisco 2509 Setup

I have setup a Cisco 2509 Remote Access Server for access to an internal network from a dialup line. Is there a way to configure the banner motd to appear when the RAS connection has been established to the internal Network? I am Using the Asychronous Input 1 for my connection and I set Line 1 for an exec-banner though I'm not sure what this did. The banner motd has been set. Does the banner only apply to connections accessing the config of the 2509? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks

exec-banner will every time some one log into exec? and yes it'll only show when you access from router.
