I have this 2502 Router. It is showing in Router(Boot)# mode. I am unable to use copy tftp flash command to copy new IOS in to the router. I have tried Cisco Password recovery procedures but unable to use the above command as it says it is invalid. Please reply...

Cisco 2502 Router

I had a similar problem with a 2502 which I've got in my lab. Because its only LAN interface is tokenring, I could not download a new IOS directly to flash (no tokenring switch in my lab ;(. Hence the work around was to temporarily put the 2502 flash simm into my c2503. I downloaded the flash to the c2503 then I replaced the flash simm back into the 2502. So if you've got another 2500 which has a ethernet interface, this is a quick solution.
