I have asked this question before (Oct 18) which helped, but I've still managed to totally confuse myself. I preferably need a example config or help with a WAN connection via a leased line. My setup is as follows:-

Site A (172.31.0.0 255.255.0.0) there is a PIX firewall that routes Internet traffic (172.31.10.1) and I want the 1721 to route WAN traffic. I've set the Ethernet port on the router to 172.31.10.2

Site B is setup exactly the same with its own PIX (6.0.10.1) and I've set the Ethernet port on the router to 6.0.10.2. Site B uses the following IP structure 6.0.0.0 255.255.0.0 , I know its totally wrong but I'm stuck with it.

The sites are currently connected via a VPN using the PIX's, which if possible I like to keep as a fall back and both sites are on the same Win2K domain.

Thanks for any help.

At site A does the ethernet port on the 1721 connect to the firewall?

Where does the firewall route the traffic to, the 1721?

What type of WIC does the 1721 have, does it have a built in CSU/DSU, etc.? Erik Rudnick, CCIE No. 9545

No, they both are connected to a switch (along with servers etc). Currently the firewall routes traffic to our ISP's router, the same happens at site B to there ISP router. The WIC is a 1 port serial (WIC-1T), not sure about the CSU bit, but no I don't think it has. Here's a quick diagram of a site which is replicated at the other end. All I want is WAN traffic down the leased line and everything else to the PIX, which will hopefully route the rest of the traffic round the LAN or Internet. Thanks.
