I'm having some problems trying to implement a SonicWall VPN device behind our current Cisco router. This is our setup:
Cisco router has a serial interface for the T1, and an ethernet interface for the LAN. The cisco is currently configured for NAT using one external IP address. We have another IP address available that I would like to use for the sonicwall. If I understand correctly, I need to setup a static address translation to translate the external IP address to the internal address, and also have to allow access coming into the sonicwall. How would I go about doing this? Would I have to disable NAT on the Cisco and use the sonicwall as the gateway for all the clients, or is there a simpler way. Also, is there a way to give the sonicwall an external static IP in its WAN setup, or do I have to use another internal static IP that will translate into the external one. Thanks for your help!!
