I want to repurpose a working 1720 w/ a WIC-1DSU-T1 for a small office network of 15 users using a Cable Modem. Is the WIC-1ENET my only option to get this set-up? The Cable is 4.0 Mbps / 1.5 Mbps, will I see the 10base T of the WIC-1ENET affect the speed they are currently getting using a Linksys BEFSR41?

TIA

Dont think you will see a speed issue, the 10megs from the local lan hits the cable service and only goes out 4 so there shouldnt be a speed issue, i dont think :)....I have a 1760 with the internal ethernet inteface and then use a ethernet card for the other port and use cable service. works great.

Now I've been given the option of using a 1720 or a 2620 for this router change. Both are using IOS 12.1. Which one should I use? The 2620 was EOL before the 1720 so I dunno.

Thanks for your thoughts,
day
