hey all, I'm hoping someone can explain to me what some lines in the config below mean. The one that starts with;
a) 1 Ethernet/IEEE 802.3 interface(s) Unrecognized interface...
Someone at work ran the 'erase flash' and 'erase start-up', I think those are rite, to remove any previous configuration. I know this router has a serial port. Are all the ports functional? How can I tell? Thanks for any input.

"erase start" removes your startup file from NVRAM.
"erase falsh" deletes your IOS file (ie.. your routers operating system). If you don't have an IOS to load, the router loads a basic bootstrap, or go into ROMMON mode which is not capable of identifing additional interfaces. In these modes, there are limited commands which allow you to recover/reload the IOS back into flash. So the bottom line is you need to download another IOS to your router. I hope you have a backup copy of the IOS, or have access to the Cisco CCO download area.
