Customer has MICS with 7.0 and has 8 loops lines. 4 are in one hunt group and 4 in another.

They are a freight company and they have two different companies with two different company names.

They need to know what lines are ringing for which company so they can answer with company A or company B greeting. I tried using a distintive ring but when the lines are busy they are still making mistakes.

I have the lines on RING because they do not have enough buttons on their T7208's.

I have the lines named and I was hoping that I could show the LINE NAME instead of the CID info until after they pick up this way when their sets are ringing they know exactly how to answer.

Any suggestions?

According to the manual any set in a hunt group should not have any line appearance. In my experience you can but depends on setup etc.

Remove lines and have the Hunt Group Ring Only and simply change the name of the Hunt Group DN.

Train how to use park and page and assign some features back on the phone to fill in the old line keys.

In re-reading....you have not setup hunt groups.

Your trunks are in an Equivalency group known as rollovers.

Hunt Groups is in the phone system programming.

Hunt Group heading:
Setup 2 hunt groups and add members as desired.
Also add group A lines to your first HG and group B lines to your second HG.
Assign a different distinctive ring to each HG.
Make the both Broadcast
As for timers and overflow depends what you want in a No Answer condition.

These are not Nortel HG these are Central office hunt groups using lines 01-04 and 31-34.

Both these CO hunt group lines ring in on 7 sets at the same time.

Then set then up in Pool groups using A or B or whatever and assign Pool buttons on the phones. See if that works...

I'm not familiar with a pool button configuration can you please explain or provide the configuration instructions. Thank you

He did set up distinctive ring.
You need to set up what was said above Hunt Groups in the phone system. You need to build it and they will ring.
This will put the 4 lines for one of the companys on one button and the same for the other then they can see whitch one is ringing and you still can do the dist ring.

The problem is these are 7208s which only have one line of display. If you don't want to use HG as suggested, remove automatic caller id from the sets and you will see the line name. Caller Id will display after the call is answered Or you can use F811 to view the CLID before answering.

So just add 2 hunt groups to these 8 button phones unless they want to upgrade them. Name the buttons on each phone with the proper company name and you could still use dist. ringing just to top it off. You should be good to go after that.

If I want to have 2 lines for each hunt group can this be done. They have a pretty large number of calls that come in.
