Anybody know how to do remote site VSAM forward recovery from daily backups plus transaction logs in MVS z/OS environments? I am told that CICS/VR does not restore to remote sites ; JPUE does not work with current (2001+) versions of CICS ; DB2 and IMS have remote forward recovery capability (but plain VSAM does not). Application programs cannot be changed. Data volume is about 400 gig. Daily update volume is about 2 gig.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Get some EMC storage for your critical data and a dedicated network pipe. Mirror the data (using SRDF) realtime to your recovery center. Its expensive but VERY reliable.
