Cics upgrade

Am upgrading a Cics w/4.1 to a cics 7.0,
Do I need to short the capacitor to accept 7.0 or just reprogram after replacing the software?

If programming from scratch ok...

Reboot KSU
Within 15 minutes do F**STARTUP
Setup any old way
While it states Applying template what about 15 secs and pull the power.

Swap software and boot up.

Program as normal.

Also if it's not up in 15 minutes after you do what Curly said don't panic . I've seen them take as long as 30 minutes to boot up.

If fonegal has the flash cards, could she not upgrade 1st to,say 5.0 then to 6.1 and then to 7.0 and save having to reprogram?

capacitor shorting is usually on MICS if you don't want to pay for the upgrade. on a CICS I have never had issue to upgrade, simply swap boot up and F**startup and Apply template.
