CICS Upgrade from 4.0 to 7.1 1

Its been a while and I just wanted to check something. I have a CICS with 4.0 software and need to take them to 7.1. Its only 4 phones and I want to reprogram. If I do a straight swap of the software, will 7.1 come up with system default programming? Or will it never boot up?

It won't come up. But do a F**STARTUP with the 4.0, and when the display reads "Applying template" power down, swap the software, then power on. The 7.0 will then come up in default condition.
