Does anyone have a clue why the following is happening on one of my servers.
the seagate_pageserver & the seagate web component server services won't start.
The pageserver service returns a couple of brief error messsages where the only useful bit of info is an event id 33000 with the string "(GMT-1:00, DST)Azoresnsclient.dll
The other message gives an event id 35101
with the following text " the root server reported an error Unknown".
Rebooting the machine doesn't work.

The OS on which Crystal Reports 8 runs is NT4SP6

Any help is appreciated.

Tyrant101,

HEY! I'm having the exact same error messages in my event log. I'm trying to install CR Web services on a Win2k Advanced Server, but otherwise its the same problem. Did you happen to find an answer to this one? If so, please let me know. Thanks!!

SOLVED! I went onto and did a knowledgebase search on "azoresnsclient.dll" and found that the Web Component Services can't start because of a bad file left on the computer after an uninstallation of Crystal Enterprise. Now, I didn't think I ever had Crystal Enterprise on this computer, but nonetheless, the fix suggests you copy "nsclient.dll" from the CD (\Windows\System32\) to your computer (WinNT\System32\), overwriting the file. The fix then suggests you reboot the target computer, but I found that didn't need to happen. You can just start the Web Component Service and the Pageserver Service (in that order) and all will be well!
