I am a novice Photoshop user trying to achieve the "Chrome Text" exercise found at I am using Photoshop 5.0. I can't get past Step 1. I can make a new channel & name it. When I use the Type Tool & type my logo, I end up with a black background & the text is selected on it - "marching ants". How do I get white text on the black background & how do I get this text into the thumbnail on the Channels palette? I know this is all very basic, but I would appreciate any help.
