I have a rather large database with multiple tables and queries. The ultimate goal is for a user to open a form and choose options from combo boxes that will in turn generate a report directly from the form. The user will need to have the option of choosing all items in the combo box menu. I am not sure how to do this. The items listed in the combo box come from a table that I have created for each combo box. All that is listed in these tables are the items to be listed. Am I approaching this correctly? If so, how to I allow all items to be chosen? The form will not be used to add any new items to the tables, only to specifiy which items to print on the report.

Thanks!

Angie Wenzel
For this purpose you have the list-box instead of the combo-box for which you can use the multiple-selection option. In the Help from Access you will find some nice examples what you can do with Listboxes. Search also for topics about ItemsSelected, Itemdata and Selected.

Hope this helps,

Greetings,

Dirk

Combo box controls can only be used to choose a single value. A List box control has an additional property (MultiSelect) which allows the user to select one or more items.

But I'm not at all sure just what you are attempting to do. Are you trying to use the choices to filter the data for the report? Do you open the report using code in the form?
Jim Conrad
JimConrad@Consultant.com
