Child site connecting VERY slow

We have 2 sites set up in our sms system, and I am at the child site.&nbsp;&nbsp;Using the administrator console directly at the server, SMS attempts to connect to both parent and child sites.&nbsp;&nbsp;It connects to the remote parent site right away, but the local site takes up to a minute to connect.<br>After it does connect, it runs EXTREEMLY slow when expanding collections, packages, queries, etc...<br><br>Most recently, I installed a Dell plug-in for SMS to collect additional information such as BIOS, Service Tag, and other Dell specific information.<br><br>I have tried re-installing MDAC's, Service Pack 5, and all hot fixes to no avail.&nbsp;&nbsp;Finally tried un-installing the Dell plug in.&nbsp;&nbsp;Again, no luck.<br>The Dell plug in was only installed on our child site as testing before we do the parent site.<br><br>Why is our site connecting so slowly?&nbsp;&nbsp;And how do we get it back up to speed?<br>Any help, or thoughts on this are greatly appreciated. <p> <br><a href=mailto: > </a><br><a href= > </a><br>"Drawing on my fine command of language, I said nothing."
