Checking Session Variables

Does anyone know how I can check to see if a session variable has expired? I'm trying to check and see if the session variable has expired, if it has then I want to run an SQL statement to get the user's security level from the database and create the session variable again.

I'm also looking for the web address for the self extracting VB Script documentation that you can load on your PC.

Well, i think all variables of an expired session would be found to be equal to "". So if you have set it to a number representing a security level, try to just check if the variable still holds a number.
