Hi

Does anyone know if there is a tool that can check registry settings on remote machines? I ask this because we have an incident today with a virus and it edits the registry.

Any help would be useful.

Thanks

Registry editor can do this. File / Connect Network Registry. Or is this not what you are asking?

Well. got about 600 machines (identical build)and want something that will tell me whether a reg setting has changed on any of them.

Thanks

You could run regedit remotely on each machine (using something like psexec - part of pstools freeware from using its command line options ( to export the part of the registry you want to check to a text file. Then need search/compare facility to find what you're looking for?
