I use MS Outlook 2003.
I would like to have it check my email every few minutes, but it won't seem to do that even though I have set that preference to do so.

Went to Tools - Options, clicked on Mail Setup tab, clicked the Send/Receive button, and I have checked the box that says "Schedule an automatic send/receive every 2 minutes". But it will only check my email when I manually click the "Send/Receive" button in the main program.

I am online with DSL so am constantly connected. Any ideas?

Go to tools, Send/Receive, Send/Receive Settings and make sure that Disable Scheduled Send/Receive is not checked. This setting will overide the other setting.

You hit the nail on the head! I never even noticed that setting. Thank you very much!
