Hi,
Is there any way of telling who has logged in previously into sql 6.5. I don't need to know what they did - (that's obvious enough) but just who they were
 
Unfortunately there is nothing that keeps an audit trail of who has successfully logged into SQL Server 6.5 or 7.0. You would have to build something yourself into the system to do this for you.

Unsuccessful logins can be found in the NT event log.
