Hello,

I have written a small program to keep track of our static ip addresses. The only problem is that you can enter the same address twice. How can I tell VB to check the MS Access field for duplicates before it writes to the db.

cheers,

jono

Hi Jono,

Would it not be easier to set the field in the access db to not accept duplicates and then trap the returning error in VB, i assume this would work.

Hi Rivethed,

Thanks matey. Indeed it is much easier. DOH!

cheers,

jono
