Hi,

please, i need to have a formula that counts within a cell the number of occurences of a specified character. for example if A1 contains Value1, Value2, Value3 and the specific character is "," the result cell B1 should contain 2

Suppose that you are counting "a" in text in A1:
=LEN(A1)-LEN(SUBSTITUTE(A1,"a",""))
