Changing the MAX PP to 2032

FOr adding somme disk with 32Go I must recreate the VG with MAX PP =2032
This action can cause any anomalies for the system ? for any problems

If you are on AIX 4.3.1 and beyond you do not need to recreate a volume group to change the maximum number of PP's per PV, you can do this on-line:

Use

chvg -t 2 <vgname>

Check via lsvg <vgname> - max. PP's per PV should now be 2032 i.e. 1016 * by a factor of 2 = 2032. The maximum number of physical volumes will reduce from 32 to 16 but you will still be able to have 32,512 physical partitions per volume group.
