Changing SSA boucles and SSA emplacements disks

I r-send my tip another once because it's very important for me
I have tow D40 unites for disk that include just 6 disk on each D40. I want to add 10 new disk but the free emplacement of disk are not including in my SSA boucles.
So I want to :
1- Modify my boucls SSA for including the fre positions
2- changing the emplacement for my actual disk for to have a good distribution of space in the tow D40 units.
My question is:
This 2 actions have an impact on my pvid or my vg or simply on my data ?
For doing this tow action must I doing other thing in my system level

Changing the logical cabling will not effect your current VG and PV config. they will retain the same hdisk/pdisk numbers e.t.c.

Just make sure that you put your new disks into the cabinets in serial number order to bring some logic to your disk layout.

And if you are adding in new disks it may be am good time to update microcode on the existing disks and adapters, do this when all VG's are varied off.
