Changing Personal Page

I am wonderinf if it is possible to log in as other users and change their personel page view. I need to do this so I can customize the home page for different departments. thanks

Hello,

as far as I know that is not possible to do. You can't login as one user and then change the personal things for another.

Are you talking about My sites in SharePoint Portal Server or just Windows SharePoint Services sites, where persons have changed to have personal viewes of things?

In any of the cases, you will not be able to change those personal views (as far as I know)

i actualy found a way do do this so I though I would share it with you guys. If you right click on the explore exe and choose run as you can run explorer as a different person and any changes you make to their personel site with appear next time the login.

Smart thinking, that should work. But the user could then change the views/looks on their page once they login ..or?
