Changing over to DHCP

Is this straight forward. I have just been put in charge of a network with 80 Pc's and 10 servers. I want to connect them to my existing network and change the ip range and also have a dhcp server rather than having static ip addresses has any one done this before and is it easy to change ?

Didn't you post this under NT4.0 Servers? I answered this overthere earlier. This should be no problem to do. How are they connected?

Thanks for your reply the will be connected via a 2Mbps pipe and the servers all run NT4.
One other question, We now have three sites, whats the best configuration, I need to access SQL, Exchange and Internet at each, Is it a good idea to have the sql & Exchange server and internet connection at one site then just BDC at the others ? all connected via 2Mbps

Well, I can honestly say I have been in your shoes. Do you have anyone else helping you? It is going to take a bit of work, but it can all be done.

Yes, you can put the clients on DHCP. IF the sites are connected, then you have to decide if you want them to get DHCP from your location or from thier own location. All this, and other factors are related to bandwidth and timing issues.

As for exchange and SQL, same thing applies.

An analysis of the network and its services should be performed to determine the best course of action. A wrong move here could be costly--your job. Let me know if you need more info.
