Changing MAC address

How do I change my MAC address? I'm running SunOS 5.8.
I tried ifconfig -a and I was able to change it but when I reboot the server it doesn't stick? Any ideas?

you can change it with ifconfig, you can't change the whole MAC but (guessing) the last 3-4 digits
