We have a network of 18 computers at school. The workstations run 98 and it would be helpful if we could have the desktops divided into 4/6 sections to have particular programs within them eg word processing;numeracy etc. Is there an easy way to do this or is it difficult -- any advice would be gratefully received.

Are you talking about seperating the Desktop Icons? Not clear on your post. If you have say 10 Icons on your desktop and want to move them individually, then Right Click on the desktop and go to Arange Icons By and De-Select Auto arrange. If this is not the case, Re-post. Not clear on the question.

I am trying to quarter the screen and have different areas for different applications. Perhaps even have different backgrounds for each area. I would like the icons to remain in the area they were originally put. Each section would have a label eg word processing that contains the different processing packages we have within the school
Thanks for the interest
