Changing Line Buttons

Hi all,
I have a Norstar phone system. I have now become the IT manager of it. I have figured out most of it. The one thing I cannot figure out is how to change what a line button does. I have found the *81 feature that lets me change them. Here is an example of what I am needing.

Phone 222 Line buttons are as follows:
Line 1- 2291#
Line 2- 2292#
Line 3- forward to:
Line 4- Group call (which is denied)
Line 5- 2290#

Phone 231 buttons are as followed:
Line 1- 2291#
Line 2- 2292#
Line 3- 2290#
Line 4- transfer to
Line 5- Page

All of the T7310 phones are different so I know the features can be changed.
I want to add our 2293# to say the line 4 button on the 231 phone etc.

It would be nice but not necessary to have the buttons all the same. So if someone says "a call is on line 5(meaning the 2290#)" but on one phone that is actually the line 3 button, people wouldn't get confused.

I can't copy them because some phones have access to lines that others do not. I would like my phone to have access to all 5 lines ( I have them set to ring & appear) I just don't have a button for them.

-A line button has an external phone number on it
-Feature *81 only allows you to move line buttons around on your phone

If you want a line to appear on your phone that is not already there it must be assigned in configuration programming. F*81 will only move assigned lines to different buttons.

Now that your the IT manager take some time to revamp your sets to be more uniform and clean so things match. If you only have 4 or 5 lines then I would assume there aren't to many sets. Meaning it wouldn't take no time to get that system cleaned up.

Can you tell me how to do this? I have it set to "appear and ring" already but I don't have button for it and that's what I cannot figure out how to do.

If you added 2293 to the ext you want it will over ride the feature that was on the button, so throw that don't have a button for it out. Do you have 2293 connected to the system and programmed properly?

When programming lines they go to the top left.
Feature * 0 is button inquiry....lines will show as Line 001 or a name of the line if programmed.

I feel stupid now. I tried to call it and yes it everything worked. It also did replace the page feature. In the line 5 spot. So now I can arrange them in the order I want them using the *81 feature. Thanks for the help!
