Hi,

We have four citrix servers in a farm. We are planning to change the IP Addresses of the four servers. What I would like to know is how to change the 100 clients that we have.

Citrix Servers are running Metaframe XP 1.0 with Service pack 1 and feature Release 1.

The clients are all Windows XP Pro running program neighborhood versions 7.1 and 9.0

What would be the easiest way to update the clients with either the new ip addresses but preferably the names of the servers. The clients only use published apps on the servers. Some are custom connections and others are in the application set.

Best regards,

llevon

If you are currently using hostnames (resolvable via DNS) for your clients and not hard coding IP addresses you should not need to change anything. If you have hard coded IP addresses you can try pushing the an updated appsrv.ini file to your clients.

Worst case scenario: walk the users through the tiny property change in the client so they point to the new addres :(
