Changing from Outlook Express to Outlook

I just switched from Outlook Express 5. to Outlook 2002. I exported my address book from OE to Outlook and I notice that my OE address book entries show up in my Outlook Contacts. Is there a way to keep my Outlook Adress Book in a seperate file. I'm afraid when I sync my PDA with Outlook that all the Adress book entries will transfer with my Contacts.
