Howdy;

I ran into a situation where I was forced to change the passwords for both the Exchange and Administrator account. My environment is a Windows 2003 domain, running an Exchange 2003 and Exchange 5.5 box.

I notice that I am getting lots of event ID's 8026 and 9318. On my Exchange 5.5 box, I ahd to go into each service that signed on with a specific account and change the password used to sign in. No biggie. On my Win2k3 box, however, I see that the services that I am having problems with (mostly Exchange 2k3 services) use the system account to log on.

Any thoughts? This is kind of a pain...

Change the account they use to start the service. Then set that account to password never expire.

If anyone calls and says "I know a little something about computers" just tell them to reformat it.

Thanks. However, I indicated that I changed the appropriate passwords for offending services on the 5.5 box, but the 2k3 box still has issues. It seems to be a DNS or RPC related issue.
