Changing a View

The short answer is no, you cannot change them back to public within SharePoint.
Even if you go to create a new view based on your personal view, it greys out the option of swtiching to a public view for some reason.
There is probably some crazy unsupported way to do it by modifying the database, but a quick look on that end and it doesn't appear obvious.
