Hello,

I recently copied one phone to a new phone, the problem is the new phone needs to have Key 01 changed how do i do this?

I tried the following but it doesn't work, I did this once before and i remeber entering MCR or something.

ld 11
req: chg
type: 2008
TN: 7 0 0 15
echg: yes
ITEM: Key 1 3306

item: key 01 scr 3306

will do the job.

If you use clid tables make sure you enter the appropriate number after the extension

key 01 scr 3306 0 (or whatever) if you want to use same clid table assigned to key 0 then do:

key 01 scr 3306 D

Hope this helps.

John

key 1 scr 3306. scr is single call ring mcr is multi call ring whichever you want the line too be or not too be.

that line is in use as a mcr on another set

key 1 mcr 3306 d

I looked at key 0 for the phone and it was set at SCR.
So i set key 01 to scr and it accepted. The problem is i need them to both be MCR, how do i change them?

out both keys, then put them back as mcr, on the phone that controls the forward/hunt for that number answer marp yes or jus tput it in 1st. this will delete the name on that dn, at the name prompt enter new then the name return back to key

Ok, i think i screwed up because i just out'ed the DN and now the TN is free again.

What the easiest way to add a new phone?? Is it to copy a phone like i did?

So i copy a phone, nul keys 00 and 01 on the new phone and then change them or add them?

when you do a copy, the switch ask for the dn of key 0, to change key 0 to a mcr or a different dn, yes nul any keys that you need. if your writing over a key, then you don't need to nul it. you would need to nul all scr keys before making the 1st mcr key.. if that number appears on an analog set, and no digital, add mcra to cls thten add the mcr keys to the digital phones
