HI,

Can somebody tell me how a domain user can change the
time on his computer... Please !!!

I tried :
the "local security policy";
the "domain controller security policy";
the "domain security policy"
(by the way, can somebody tell me the difference between
the two last one ???

Thank you !!!

Can I just ask why?

I assume the workstations are setting their time to the server - if so whats the point in allowing users to set their own time?

Incorrect time sync. could cause problems with romaing profiles and is a minor security risk.

Anyway if you want to go ahead you need NTRIGHTS from the Windows 2000 Resource Kit and as admin do the command

ntrights -r SeSystemTimePrivilege +u everyone -m \\RemoteMachineName

Ash.

I will answer to your second question.
"domain controler security policy" is applied to the domain controllers. There is a build in container in every domain named DomainControllers. The policy is applying to them.

"domain security policy" ia applied to entire domain. Gia Betiu
