Hi. We use Outlook 2000 with Exchange 2K Server on a Win2K Server.

Is it possible to change the sender name so that when a recipient receives a message, the From field shows a different name than the default username?

Thanks.

Depends on the client but most clients you can change the reply to name.

Yes, first the user must have "Send As" priviledges for the mailbox to be used. Once they do, start a new e-mail message, and choose View -> From Field, and enter or select the name to be sent as. This will allow them to change the user the e-mail is being sent as. Keep in mind that replies will go to the address that it was sent as. Marc Creviere

You can also use Outlook Express and fake the sender. Dan
