Change Permissions

I am trying to change permissions on folder "D:\Program Files\Exchsrvr\Mailroot",I select a user to add, and then click OK, then after changing security options, and I click on OK to finish the security change, the box hangs. I eventually have to X out of the window either through task manager or force quit. Any ideas?

How long do you wait for the window to stop hanging? Sometimes, for one reason or another, a task takes a lot longer than usual to complete.
